Savannah, GA USA — Dr. Miriam Rittmeyer, a global health expert and advocate for maternal and child health, has been appointed as a member of the Strategic Advisory Group on Maternal Mortality (SAG) for the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). This prestigious appointment recognizes Dr. Rittmeyer’s extensive experience and contributions to advancing maternal health equity and addressing systemic health challenges in underserved communities.

Belgrade, Serbia - First Big Pink Youth Dialogue in Serbia and Montenegro

 We are excited to invite you to the inaugural Big Pink Youth Dialogue in Serbia and Montenegro, scheduled for September 15, 2024, at the Hotel Boutique Museum in Belgrade. The event will begin at 18:00  CET and it will be conducted in Serbian.

For those attending in person, a symbolic fee of 800 RSD (~7 EUR) will be appreciated. All proceeds will benefit the "Milica" Women's Center Citizens' Association, which is dedicated to enhancing the health and quality of life for women.

In 2014, after she ended her nine-year tenure as executive director of a community health clinic in Savannah, Georgia, Miriam Rittmeyer needed a little time to recharge her batteries. She exhibited her colorful oil paintings inspired by her native Guatemala, crafted jewelry and scarves, and continued her mastery of the charango, a lutelike Andean instrument..
