The event will begin at 18:00 CET and it will be conducted in Serbian. For those attending in person, a symbolic fee of 800 RSD (~7 EUR) will be appreciated. Speakers:
- Emilija Vuković, doctor, Ph.D. student, Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the "Milica" Women's Center Citizens' Association, which is a humanitarian, voluntary, non-governmental and non-profit association founded in order to improve the position and quality, life and health of women. She is also the president of the Serbian Blockchain Initiative and General Manager of Supercluster for Web3&Blockchain technologies, with a special interest in the topic of usage of blockchain in the healthcare industry which is also the subject of her Ph.D. Emilija is also working as a business consultant in the field of Web3 in the Middle East.
- Jelena Jevtović – a clinical psychologist and DPST counselor. She is a counselor for voluntary and confidential HIV counseling and testing (DPST) at the National Center for Sexual and Reproductive Health Potent, where she also provides psychological counseling for clients. As part of the project, she works as a psychologist at the Infectious Disease Clinic in Belgrade, in the HIV and AIDS department.
- Biljana Begović Vuksanović: doctor, epidemiologist, employed at the City Center for Public Health of the city of Belgrade, and also currently works in the HIV/AIDS counseling service at the City Center for Public Health. Coordinates and provides support to non-governmental organizations in working with populations at increased risk of HIV infection.
Global Initiative:
The Big Pink" is an initiative that fosters an open and constructive dialogue about women's reproductive health, particularly targeting the youth. It strives to establish an environment conducive to conversation, education, and inspiration. Originating in India and expanding to Australia in 2023, this initiative is a collaboration between Rotaract clubs and key partners including the Rotary Action Group for Reproductive, Maternal, and Child Health (RMCH), the Partnership for Maternal and Child Health (PMNCH), a WHO program, and the Apollo Shine Foundation from India. this initiative has now reached Central America, where 42 participants gathered on January 4, 2024. Upcoming dialogues include a session in South America led by the Rotaract Club La Paz in February 2025. The event engages internationally and local renowned speakers who enrich the participant experience by providing expert insights, highlighting key issues, inspiring action, promoting interactive learning, encouraging diverse perspectives, and facilitating networking and collaboration—all of which contribute to advancing the dialogue and efforts concerning women's health.
Phalarope, has been instrumental as a partner to RMCH in supporting these dialogues across Central America, South America, and Europe. Through these events, key issues such as limited access to reliable information, persistent taboos, and the need for comprehensive sexual education have been highlighted.
