Christina lee
Christina was born and raised in South Korea, but since age 13, she has been calling Washington D.C. her home. She is currently a junior at New York University majoring in Global Public Health under the concentration of Applied Psychology. Through her undergraduate studies, she deepened her interest and knowledge of the disparities in public health– geographically, ethnically, and socioeconomically. Christina hopes to be in the pathway of a therapeutic career, as a counselor in an institution or a hospital, helping women in their prenatal and postpartum care by ensuring the expectant mothers’ psychological, emotional, and behavioral well-being. She also hopes to further mental health awareness in places, especially East Asian countries, where issues regarding psychological disorders are still taboo.
