Carmen Maria Urizar-Avila

Carmen Maria Urizar-Avila is a twenty-one year old Guatemalan American and lives in New York City with her sister Mimi. Currently she is completing a major in Psychology and a double minor of Sociology and Anthropology and Women and Gender Studies at Pace University. Carmen will graduate December 2021 and plans to apply to graduate school in New York City to receive a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She is very interested in Adverse Childhood Experiences, as well as eating disorders and body image issues that stem from internalization of media.
